Opening EXODE for the first time on Mac
EXODE is a secure application. Because it isn't distributed through Apple's App Store, macOS shows a warning the first time you open it — this is normal. Here's how to launch the app in under a minute. You'll only do this once: after that, EXODE opens with a simple double-click.
1. Install the application
Open the downloaded .dmg file, then drag the EXODE icon into your Applications folder.
2. First launch
Double-click EXODE in your Applications. A message saying Apple could not verify the app appears. If an « Open » button is offered, click it — you're done. If only a « Done » button is offered, follow step 3.
3. Allow the application (System Settings)
- Click « Done » to close the message.
- Open the Apple menu () → System Settings.
- Go to Privacy & Security.
- Scroll to the Security section: you'll see « EXODE was blocked… » with an « Open Anyway » button.
- Click « Open Anyway », confirm, and enter your password if prompted.
Done. EXODE is now allowed and will open normally every time.
This warning is a standard macOS measure for any app outside the App Store. EXODE is perfectly safe.
